Great picture and sound quality and looks fab. The picture gives you the feeling as if you are ‘there’!!

You can’t turn the tv off (only at mains), it just goes to standby, but am assured this doesn’t waste electricity. The tv has a function that can show you how much electricity it uses compared to normal tv’s, so it is eco friendly….

Great telly and would recommend this to anyone.

best choice
It took myself and a friend of mine (quite an expert) many hours of online search and comparisons, but it was worth it. This TV is among the best you can buy in terms of quality/price ratio.

Out of this world
This is a stunning tv,its not led but it has a scanning backlight,it has a sharp picture,lively and vibrant colors, because of that and lots more other things what this tv has got like divx hd,bluetooth,pcmcia card slot…I would recommend this lcd tv and I think it is the best lcd tv around but because of the depth of the tv the sound is a bit tinny but with its 200 hz it has a smooth picture

An Excellent TV
This TV has everything!….Gorgeous looks, a full feature list and above all, fantastic picture quality!!
It replaced an excellent Panasonic 100hz CRT and I was nervous that it wouldn’t be up to the job. However, the quality of the picture from the integrated Freeview tuner is excellent, with sharp, crisp images and tracks motion with ease. Colours look natural and skin tones look realistic! The menus are great too, with really clear icons which makes setting up a doddle! Although, after several days of experimentation I found that the best picture was achieved with all of the electronic aids actually turned off. Including the 200hz motion flow technology.I recently enjoyed the Malaysian GP and F.A cup footy and had no issues with motion judder or smearing. I have been an avid user of a Humax pvr for the past two years, which was a previous What Hi-Fi award winner, and I can honestly say that the LG’s integrated tuner is better than the Humax’s! Both DVD’s and Playstaion games are also both excellent! Alas i’ve finally bitten the bullet and SKY HD (hopefully) arrives tomorrow. I can’t wait to see what this TV can do in High Def! This TV comes thoroughly recommended.

Disappointed
I have to say I am disappointed with the quality of this TV.

This is actually my third TV(first one with Amazon)as I had to send two others back with a different supplier. One with back light problems, the second didn’t even start up! Amazon are considerably more expensive, but I’ve always had good service so chose them for the third and second replacement, thinking their TV’s should be from a different batch?

Unfortunately there are still back light issues with this TV. Not so bad as they can’t be ignored most of the time but the shadows are still there. It shows up mostly on plain screens that pan slowly as a shadowy bar slightly to the right of center. Exactly the same place as it showed up in the first TV only not so pronounced.

The Tru motion 200HZ is absolutely useless so don’t buy on this feature. Even on HD there is artifacting around fast moving objects with or without this turned on. In fact the artifacting is worse when it is turned on!

On the upside the TV looks great. The screen is highly reflective though so a darkened room is best if this bothers you.

Standard Definition is slightly soft but is the best I’ve seen. High Definition is good but I’ve seen better. The colours are good and the set up menus are easy to use. I don’t have any issues with the blacks not being represented properly that have been reported elsewhere.

The sound is OK now I have turned the base control up high leaving treble at 50% with surround sound turned on. This is being used primarily as a family lounge TV but connectivity is good for gaming, showing photos etc.

Overall this could be a great TV model if the quality issues were addressed.
